Cycling

In the spring of 2006 I bought my first road bike. I really enjoy cycling and I have primarily been cycling to and from work, but my longest ride has been around 80km which included around Calgary, to Cochrane and back. I have been a competitive swimmer, a varsity runner and one of my lifetime goals is to compete in Ironman. I am nowhere near ready, but I would like to attempt my first Ironman in two years from now. The bike above is my bike, it is an Allez Triple. It looks pretty stylish to the untrained eye, but really it is an entry level road bike. In laymans terms, it's a cheap one. Entry level bikes can be purchased for around $1,000, but to get a middle market road bike, you are looking at the $3,000-4,000 range. I find cycling an excelent workout, lots of scenery, the wind will cool you down on the hottest of days and man can you get going pretty quick on one of those things. Every morning on my way to work, I ride down this really steep hill, nothing like pure adrenaline to wake you up in the morning!
